Description
What You'll Do
- Extend and evolve the Verse compiler toolchain and VM, implement new language features, integrate the toolchain into Unreal Engine's content, build, and cooking pipelines.
- Optimize performance, memory usage, and iteration times across the Verse toolchain and UE/Verse boundary.
- Establish test workflows to validate improvements and prevent regressions.
- Drive integration work in close collaboration with programmers from the Verse Language team and the broader Unreal Engine programming organization.
What we're looking for
- Excellent knowledge of C++17 or later.
- Experience in profiling and optimizing large codebases.
- Strong ability to reason about large, interconnected systems.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across programming teams.
- Ability to work autonomously and deliver practical solutions independently.
- Strength in compiler and VM internals or Unreal Engine integration (experience in both is a plus).
