What You'll Do
- Develop strategic insights to inform Finance and Product leadership on the Epic ecosystem.
- Maintain core business reporting and forecasting that the organization relies on.
- Develop high-leverage data models to improve the efficiency of the entire Insights department.
- Analyze fluctuations across core businesses, decomposing underlying factors and isolating causal influence.
- Build, maintain, analyze, and leverage time series forecasting methods to anticipate ecosystem trends.
- Perform executive deep dives on high-priority subjects relevant to the Fortnite ecosystem.
- Build a deep understanding of products and become an expert on all analytics data collected.
- Take accountability for the quality of data reported by products, and work with engineering and QA.
- Support users of the self-service data pipeline.
- Collaborate with the ecosystem analytics team to enhance data-driven decision-making.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 5-7 years of professional experience as a Data Scientist or in a related field.
- Expertise with SQL and Python.
- Familiarity with time series modeling.
- Demonstrated skills in predictive analytics, especially within complex and high-dimensional environments.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience delivering presentations to senior leadership.
- Demonstrated understanding of both contemporary video games and analytics best practices.
- Preferred Qualifications: Expertise with machine learning and PySpark, experience with time series forecasting libraries such as Prophet, experience developing and leveraging AI workflows, experience with causal inference methods, passion for the gaming industry.
